Black Currant Amber Soap combines fruity black currants with the honey sweet smell of amber incense and sandalwood for a warm, welcoming scent.
It was my first attempt to mimic one of Mike's favorite scents. It's a fruity and sweet blend with a hint of sandalwood and amber thrown in. It didn't get quite the combo that I was after, but it's a lovely fragrance on its own. I used aloe vera in the mix to give the lather such a rich, luxurious feel. This fragrance is unisex and will smell great on anyone!
What's in Black Currant Amber Soap?
Ingredients are as follows:
- Love
- Olive Oil Pomace/Rice Bran Oil blend
- Palm Oil
- Coconut Oil
- Aloe Vera Juice
- Water
- Castor Oil
- Shea Butter
- Palm Kernel Oil Flakes
- Fragrance Oil Blend
- sodium hydroxide for the chemical reaction to make soap

Base Ingredients in most of my soap batches are Rice Bran Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Distilled Water, Aloe Vera Juice, Sodium Lactate which helps harden your bar, and Sodium Hydroxide for the chemical reaction needed to make soap. Care information
We recommend that you use a draining soap dish with any handmade soap. Because a draining soap dish will give your bar of soap the opportunity to dry out between uses. This way you bar of soap will last much longer. Have you ever noticed that the bar of soap sitting in the puddle of water in your shower has become soft and mushy? When you're soap is sitting in water, it is slowly dissolving.
