Charcoal Mechanic Soap
Charcoal Mechanic Soap
Less harsh than pumice based cleansers!
A fantastic alternative to lava or pumice soaps, and is just as effective without wrecking your hands.
Our charcoal mechanic soap is an effective cleanser that will not be too drying to your skin. I use activated bamboo charcoal which is much less abrasive than a pumice soap, and have started making this batch with concentrated Orange oil as well.
I personally love the charcoal soaps, and my dude uses it after working on his truck. It cleans grease wonderfully without being as evil as lava soap. He's thrown "motorcycle chain filth and truck filth" at it and says that "it took it off on the first pass, and wasn't as abrasive as most of the other stuff"
I was splitting wood, and got pine sap all over my hands. It took two passes and the sap was completely gone.
The bar produces very tiny, dense bubbles. so tiny that it seems like you're just applying some weird, grey lotion to your hands, but I promise you they are tiny bubbles. Wet the bar thoroughly for best results.

Base Ingredients in most of my soap batches are Rice Bran Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Distilled Water, Aloe Vera Juice, Sodium Lactate which helps harden your bar, and Sodium Hydroxide for the chemical reaction needed to make soap. And love. We can't forget love. If you have any sensitivities, please check the individual listing of the item that you wish to purchase for a full ingredient list.
Soap - 2.75" x 2.75" bar
Lotion - 2.5" round Tin
We recommend that you use a draining soap dish with any handmade soap. Because a draining soap dish will give your bar of soap the opportunity to dry out between uses. This way you bar of soap will last much longer. Have you ever noticed that the bar of soap sitting in the puddle of water in your shower has become soft and mushy? When you're soap is sitting in water, it is slowly dissolving.
